Property tax on solar panel

Sir, as we know that Municipal Corporation imposes Property Tax on Building, dwelings etc which are within its Municipal limits.

My query is with respect to Property Tax being imposed on panel of solar Plant of 2 MW

Generally Property Tax is levied on building , dwellings,ancillary construction etc

Can Municipal Municipal Corporation imposes Property Tax on solar Panel (as we know its structure embded over earth)

If yes under what law

In my opinion on solar panel property tax cannot b ge levied.

Generally there is no such instance but it shall be better to go through the municipal act of that particular state wherein such taxation has been imposed.

Solar panel is an appliance and not a structure erected on the earth which attracts property tax.
The purpose of solar panel is to utilise the sunlight which is free for the entire world.
thus, no property tax can be charged for solar panel.
