Religion and name change before marriage

Hi, I want to know the legal procedure to change my religion from hindu to islam, however, from quite a long I have been following islam and worship as per islam only. But I am not sure if before marriage I want to change my name and religion on papers legally whats the procedure? I would like to know how I can get my identity proof documents like passport, PAN card and driving license changed/rectified. Please advise me as I have no other help around to give a correct advice. My fiancee and friends would be there as witness during procedure is carried.

don't worry. perform the marriage as per muslim law. At the time of marriage your name will be changed before your marriage before Nikkha THUVA. After marriage your new name will be entered into marriage register and the muthavalli will record the same as muslim law.
Based upon the certificate of jamad get your name changed in government gazette. after getting the same change all your names in all records, D.L, PAN, Voter, Ration, certificate etc. further clarification contact my email id.

U can always approach a Maulavi & change to Islam. As for the rest, Mr. Ganesan has cleared the point.

It is also a right to expert to put a question to querist as done by prabhakar singh in this case. There is nothing wrong if intension of querist is also known as it is not going to harm anyone.

Hi, Thanks Ganesan for your valuable advice, Please check your email as I needed some further assistance regarding the same.
And My reply to Mr. Prabhakar and Raj kumar is that "Islam" is not about getting inspired. I wanted to accept islam from a quite long time (infact from childhood), its my own personal wish, I do not need to answer anyone why am accepting this but yes in any case stop investigating indirectly by saying things like its not going to harm anyone, If i want to harm anyone I can harm being a hindu or a christian also. To harm anyone I would not specially convert to islam. Infact let me clear your myth "ISLAM NEVER TEACHES TO HARM ANYONE UNLESS WE NEED TO PROTECT OURSELVES FROM HARMFUL SOURCES". May Allah give you so much of strength and internal peace that you could clear your myths and stop relating harmful activities to islam. There could be many reasons behind many activities even carried by a hindu or christian, stop pointing indirectly or directly on muslims only (no one is capable to clap from one hand palm). I would appreciate your knowledge and maturity on this. We should give respect to every religion and individual if we really want to get back the same respect.
