Investment in real estate to be equity?

Hi everyone!
If I invest in a real estate commercial project (which is still not under construction)by buying space therein, will/ can my investment be treated as an equity stake in the company developing the project?

It cant be equity stake.

if its a mere purchase of space in the sai project, then it cant be called quity in the company.
