The only way to speed up the selection process is to approach the UPSC as well as the union government for which UPSC is conducting the selection process. Since the bar in conducting the selection has already been lifted, the CAT may not be able do anything else in the matter.

The court or tribunal has no much authority to ask the UPSC to speed up the selection or fix any date as it is a policy matter that comes solely within the domain of the union government and the UPSC.
