So guys here is the update and my query:
Finally the 498-a sword fell on us. Investigating Office informed us that FIR is lodged and we must now all come for Bail.
As me and my parents live in Mumbai and My brother lives in Pune who's wife has filed 498, we wanted to get our name deleted.
So we first went to Addl commissioner who said he will instruct the officer to delete our names. The Inspector still insisted that we all attend the bail proceeding. So now today we went to DCP's office who himself called the Inspector to remove our names. Now we were glad but guess what who spoiled the show??!!. It was the lawyer who said since the FIR has all the names we must appear for bail together!!.
So guys now we are stuck again. Is there a way out. We have to go on Monday for this and i am hoping if you guys have any clues then pl tell us.

if the charge sheet has been filed by i.o. confirm and then move for bail.

Don't go to the Police authority,once FRI is registered then you should apply anticipatory bail in District Court within the jurisdiction at where the case is lodge.Failing which you can file in High Court to avoid arrest.After getting bail you can face the trial by producing proper evidence.

In a case of 498a I,P.C if your names are appearing in the F.I.R then you shall have to appear before the Court for getting bail.

Ensure that the names have been deleted from the FIR on the instructions of DCP, if not there is no alternative than to obtain bail for all those mentioned in the FIR.
