For rent agreement

Dear Sir,
My friend have 8 shop in market the all shop have the name of his grandfathher and has grandfather the all the shop in Rent last 22 years at Rs. 700 but now the rent of that shop is Rs 4000 -5000 but the rent they gave only 700. what process they do please give suggesion for that

if grand father is landlord your grand father can only charge rent not your friend . what are terms of rental agreement ? it must be providing for increase in rentals

yes., am also agree with mr.ajay

grand father only person who can think about increasing the rent. he also can act upon the rent agreement only.,

if thats oral agreement mean he can take steps to vacate/increase the rent.

Only Grandfather have right to deal. As tenants are 22 yrs old, property value before 22 years is considered for rent.

No significant chance to increase shop rent/ or increase the rent. Only marginal increase is possible.
