Stamp duty on transfer of property (pagdi system)

Is there any stamp duty payable on transfer of property under pagdi system ????? and what is the procedure to transfer such property???

you have to make application to landlord . generally a triparte agreement is executed between landlord , new tenant and old tenant for the property .

in mumbai some landlords insist that old tenant surrender the property and agreemet is executed betwen landlord and new tenant

the stmap duty would depend upon where you are located , value of the property

As per the state stamp act you will have to pay stamp duty

yes, the stmap duty would depend upon where you are located , market value of the property.

Chg of rent receipt still going on, avoiding stamp duty.
