A = B, B = C. So, A = C.

You are working in the commercial wing of a Govt. Autonomous body so you are a govt. employee even though your concern do not get direct help from State exchequer but its control rests with the autonomous body.
Sudhir Kumar, Advocate (Expert) 24 January 2012
I may have liberty to disagree. Please check if the subsidiary which you are working for is having 51% share held by Govt (not by the Autonomous Govt body)(meere existance of Govt nominee on BOD may not suffice). If yes you are employee of Govt ocmpany if No then you are not. Most likely this subsidiary will be having seperate PF number and balance sheet. It may not be having a Chief Vigilance Officer nominated/approved by CVC.

There are several autonomous bodies - Sankeet Natak Academy, Nehru Memorial etc. etc. The employees of such autonomous bodies are not Govt. employees.

in response to Mr Sudhir Kumar
He is requested to please further clarify on the following facts:
1) 100% share are held by govt autonomous body.
2)it has everything seprate except gov autonomous body member in the boad.
3)please clarify whether the salary paid by the subsidiary is considered from govt exchequar or not. it is important for me to know that.

Your query is self-speaking. 100% share are held by Autonomous body means none by the Govt.
