sir, i want to know whether bank is entitled to get vat number under punjab vat act 2005 and for what purpose under which sec it is entitled to get vat num.

2. whether it is mandatory for every bank to get vat number.

but sir i found on site of punjab excise & taxation dept. that many of banks having vat numbers

my enquiry is that for what purpose bank is needed vat number

what type of trsn. of banks covered under vat act
