Loan against ____

sir,

kindly advise what are the instruments (like FD, PPF etc) or possessions (like gold etc) on which loan (home) can be applied.

Various banks give loan against various securities. Therefore, please visit the banks and find out. Since even if we list the items, some items would still get left out.

terms of grant of any loan is often dictated by creditors ,so is also the truth with bankers,which often differ between two banks.

Mainly the types of securities, which the bank or financial institution can take possession of or can be formally mortgaged in their favour, e.g., any movable property, like FD, Gold, LIC policy, or registred sale deed of an immovable property, etc. I am not sure if PPF is recognised, as a morgageable security by the banks. Only concerned bank or financial institute can throw light in that respect.

you are rightly not sure Shri Dhingra,if PPF is recognized.
AS it is really NOT for NO DECREE
CAN BE ENFORCED AGAINST PPF.
