Pan Card

My friend is unemployed and staying in a mansion/hostel. He wants to apply for a pancard. He does not have a residence as his parents passed away. Can he apply for a pan card addressed to his mansion? He has a valid address proof - bank passbook.

Yes he can apply for the PAN card with bank passbook as an address proof. Enclose the xerox copy of the pass book with photo attested by any gazetted officer/ bank manager.

Yes. He can apply for pan card with hostel address. But he need to give permanent address.
