My Father is in CISF and currently posted in east region. He is now suspended, the reason is that on 05-Mar-2016 , there is 16 hrs shifts (8hrs shift in Morning & 8hrs in night shift ). As my mother is suffering from fever and she is in pain. My Father has done the morning shift but unable to go in night shift ,
He informed to duty incharge in morning that , he is unable to come in night shift and mention the same.
But he got his suspension letter on 07-Mar-2016, for not coming in night shift on 5th of march, under subrule-1 of rule 33 (2001).
Sir, Is this valid reason for suspension ? Is 16 hrs duty is fair?
They even not give a single day rest, Is rest is allotted by govt. to thei employees or not? or they have to do duty all 7 days without any rest??
please provide me information regarding this, I should be most grateful.

It seems that your father had a valid reason to remain absent.. Tell him to write a letter to the higher authorities mentioning the entire facts and the injustice caused to him. If he does not get any response.. then go for legal action.
