Notification no. 04/2014-service tax

Respected sir/madam

My query is whether notification no. 04/2014- service tax dated 17/02/2014 exempting services by way of loading, unloading, packing, storage or wareshousing of rice from service tax , by amending the notification no. 25/2012-service tax dated 20th june 2012 is having a retrospective effect from 20th june 2012 or not.
i shall be very much thankful for resolving the said query.

The new notification does say anything about retrospective effect. Hence, according to me, it will not have any retrospective effect. The Central Excise Department can further clarify. Contact the Central Excise Inspector.
