my father was a govt teacher,but he is missing from 24 years,yet me my mom and my relations never lodge any complaint in any police station about his missing,in that time i was 6 years old.10 years back i was ready to give complaint about his missing,but some policemen said that after long period you can't give any complaint,so i have been silent,but some lawyers of my friends saying that i can claim compensation from my father's institution.some lawyers saying it will be possible some are saying that i can not claim.
now what can i do?
what is the procedure to claim?
also i have already requested the hon'ble court to obtain death certificate.
i have some proofs as he was working in job
PLEASE ADVICE ME IN THIS ISSUE

You seem to have already applied for certificate of Civil Death and contacted some lawyers.
If the person is missing for 7 years court may grant it.
Once the court has granted it the legal heir can approach the employer.
The legal may otherwise also obtain the service rules of the establishment and go thru sections that cover such provisions.

Apply for certificate regarding legal death and on the basis of the certificate claim dues from employer.

dear sirs, where my father was working,they are saying that they have no my father's service register,but they have salary bills also attendance register.without service register i can't do anything,
now what can i do now?please advise me.

You are not custodian of 'Service register'.
The employer is............... and is responsible.
You may take the steps that are to be taken by you.
Take the help of elders, competent and experienced well wishers.
Try to ascertain if some gratification from you is being expected.
Approach the higher official e.g. Directorate of Education..............
