dear sir,
what is the consequence faced by a burrower incase of non repayment of a sum of 2 lakh rupees in time which was signed in a hundred rupees stampduty paper with thump impression and 2 witness if the money lender go to file a case in court.it is not a handwritten note it is printed. is this a civil or criminal offence. Is IPC 420 applicable in such a case?

u can file recovery suit in civil court as it is civil matter.420 0f IPC is not applicable to ur case.

it is a civil offence . moneylender would file a summary suit against you . case of cheating is not made out
