Hiring a new advocate

I hired an advocate for a case in the High Co. After hiring advocate I went abroad as I am NRI. When I returned I found out that my advocate had been asking for new dates in my case for over 1 year. I got certified copies from the High Court. I got paperwork back from him and he eventually signed vakalat nama. I need to find new advocate now. I am worried same thing will happen again. Is their any way I can ensure that this doesn't happen? Or can anyone recommend advocate in Chandigarh High Court? It is a section 482 crpc case. Thank you for your time.
