Case of defamation

Hi,

I wanted to file a case of Defamation against 2 women for defaming my character 6 years back during college and bringing me and my family into shame. They constantly spread false rumours about my character. Can you please provide me details on how I can go ahead with this issue. What kind of proof will I require for this ?

I am very keen on filing this against them and receive an apology as this has affected my fame even today among my classmates in school.
