There is no such section in EPF & MP Act, 1952 so it is voluntary for the employer to contribute more than the statutory requirement. It shows the welfare attitude of the employer which is always welcomed.

The relevant legislation prescribes about minimum contribution to be made and penality on failure.
It leaves optional for employer to do extra benevolence ,if so chosen.

Thanks for your immediate response. But the present on line EPFO-E-SEWA PORTAL is not accepting the volutarly contribution of Employer only Employees contribution accepting. Further we approached the local PF officials they advised it will not accept only if the Employee contribute voluntarely will be accepted. please advise further. Regards, PBS KUMAR
