WHAT IS THE FIRST STEP TO INSTITUTE PROCEEDING IN THIS ACT IN CASE OF PERSON INJURED,DIED,PERMANENTLY DISABLED,OR GOT INJURED BY NEGLIGENT DRIVING? IS THE PROCEDURE SAME OR DIFERENT? I FIND CONFUSION IN MAIN CLAIM PETITION OR ANY OTHER PETITION?

The first step is to lodge an FIR U/S 304B.On the basis of that a criminal case for negligence will go on. Secondly, one claim petition will be moved before the Mgistrate under MACT for compensation.
