Is there minimum penalty for “Unsafe Food” under FOOD SAFETY AND STANDARDS ACT, 2006? All clauses say what is maximum amount of penalty or what is maximum duration of imprisonment, but not the minimum amount or duration.

I checked draft of the law available publically on Government website, Section 59. Punishment for unsafe food. But it is silent on minimum penalty. Is there any precedence that might be of help with this regard?

It is the discretionary Power of the Court. As per the Seriousness of the case the Judge may have power to impose penalty& punishment or both according to the provision.
