Urban land or not?

My relative wants to buy property in Jade garden, sadahalli, Bangalore where the plot usually exceeds 500 sq.mts. and it is under gram panchayat, not BBMP.

For wealth tax purposes, does it come under its net? If so, is it to be paid for the entire 600 Sq.Mts. or only 100 Sq.Mts which is in excess?

My relative wants to buy this property but only if it does not attract wealth tax.

Is this plot in Sadahalli urban land or not?

visit office of Gram Panchayat/BBMP and got information. if you want in written for future reference then make application under the RTI Act to gram Panchayat/BBMP.

Wealth tax liability is not applicable in Gram Panchayat area so your relative can purchase the property without any fear but for safer side, it is good to enquire from the office of local Income Tax.
