Is 7 days sufficient?

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 27 November 2010 This query is : Resolved
My advocate is giving 7 days public notice for any objection to be raised for the purchase of plot. Is 7 days notice sufficient or legally tenable?
As the seller is in urgent need of money, he requested the advocate to reduce 15 days to 7 days.
Devajyoti Barman (Expert) 27 November 2010
For this sort of notice there is no prescribed time limit for raising objection and hence there is no illegality in such 7 days of notice.

yes, there is no illegibly, but this sufficient period ought to have been give for objection. in future, any party can raise his point.

Better to give atleast 15 days. There may be problem in future if you give in a hurry.
In litigations involved in Bank, 21 days notice is mandatory. Just follow that.
