rename

Hi,

I have taken a flat in X name and now i got married and name is change to Y. Pls let me know whether i can change my new name in flat.And what is the process for name change.

You must get the name changes because while filing affidavit for change of name you must have mentioned that henceforth you shall be known by the new name for all intents and purposes. When you have left the old name for all intents and purposes you cannot retain property in your old name.

For change of name you may apply to the authority/society which allotted the flat in your name.

NO NEED TO CHANGE NAME , if you want so than you can give affidavit for it

Yes you are required to inform the concerned authorities about the change of name through affidavit.Your new name will be incorporated.
