Ndps or drug n cosmetic act.

(Querist) 02 May 2012 This query is : Resolved 
police registered an FIR u/s 22/61/85 ndps act, 1985.
but as per SC notification the recovered contraband(diphenoxylate hydrochloride)is to be under drugs n cosmetics, act 1940,

cn v plz elaborate n verify ?

This drug is not open to sale and is restricted so it definitely comes within the purview of ibid Act.
