Whether under RTI act one person can get the copy of others service record? if yes what is the procedure. the person whose record is asked is a court employee.

Dear Anonymous,
Yes, you can ask the information or copy of the service record of third party. But, the Public Information Officer, before making available the information / copy of the service record, would ascertain the consent of the third party concerned. Naturally, the third party would object to it. Because there is objection, the PIO would not make available the information sought by you, but would intimate you that under the provision so and so, the information is confidential / privileged and cannot be made available.

yes, information about third person can be asked under the RTI Act

Generally such kind of information is not provided keeping in view the provisions of Section 8(1)(d) and (j) of the Right to Information Act, 2005.
