Sir,
An officer(Govt.) while passing manipulated order, committed an error. in one date that officer has put his signature and on that date even he was not posted there. To prove it Can ask information about the date of joining of that officer in that department?
Plz. suggest. Thanks and regards.

put up a query to the cpio/pio of the dept under the rti act 2005.

RTI application would be a better option for you.

Yes you can file a RTI application for the purpose, but according to my view you should obtain certified copy of all the related documents, b'coz every thing is possilble in our system, file may be lost in process. So obtain certified copy of all documents and go further for RTI.

If you ask the information about the date of joining of the officer and then ask for a copy of the document wherein he has signed earlier to the date of his joining, the department would awake and there are chances of tampering or manipulating. Therefore, ask for copy of the document only. After getting the document, you may enquire about the date of his posting.
