Issue on ews certificate

(Querist) 11 October 2024 This query is : Resolved
I'm a married woman, my marriage happened 14 months back. I applied Telangana secondady grade teacher post with EWS certificate on my fathers name mistakenly and i got job in it. Now they are objecting for job as EWS certificate should be on my husband's name. Is their any solution to this problem if yes how would be the process?
Quick Summary
A married woman has encountered an issue with her EWS certificate after securing a government teaching position. She mistakenly used the certificate under her father's name, but officials are now objecting, stating it should be in her husband's name. While the EWS reservation does consider married women, the certificate's validity is typically one year and must reflect the current financial standing. It appears she may need to reapply for a new certificate for future opportunities.

The Economically Weaker Section (EWS) reservation for government jobs includes married women, and their spouse's income is considered when determining eligibility.
If they have rejected your EWS certificate then you cannot do anything about it now.
You can apply once again next year because the certificate is valid only for one year.

I presume the certificate is for OBC, which alone is issued in faters' name and valid for one year.Refer the rules in your state.

The EWS certificate is also valid for one year only.

You will have to wait for next vacancy to apply and proceed.

The annual income of an individual for EWS is Rs.8 lakhs. So, if your husband and you are earning members, even if you have a private job, and your income does not exceed Rs.8.00 lakhs, then you are eligible for EWS. The certificate is valid for one year only.
