Fraudster Husband absconding

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 28 January 2010 This query is : Resolved
Hi All,
I got an arranged marraige done via "shaadi.com" considering the information the guy and his family had shared - which turned out to be false. just after 15 days of marriage the guy n his family started blackmailing my parents for dowry. I went through mental and physical harrasment for days to come to a conclusion of filing a complaint. Now the status is that i have filed a dowry harrasment case, a domestic violence case and also want to get rid of that man's marriage
I need help on the following topics -
- since the guy abandoned me just after 15days of marriage can this marriage be nullified on grounds of fraud?
- The guy was in Australia but now I heard he has run away with his family to UK - can any international authority help?
- how do i find out if he is already married as he is just not tracebale anywhere?
- Can i take help of cyber c rime department as he is still putting is marriage profiles to fool more girls?

Any sufficient help will be welcome.

Thanks

1. No. Fraud is not a good ground to seek divorce.

2. There is no International agency working for such matters as on date.

3. You obtain divorce on all available grounds within your reach instead of knowing whether he has married or not. How can we say that he has married or not if you are even unable to know his whereabouts.

4. You can do so.

Internet is a merry field for criminals. One should be very careful while dealing with matrimonial matters via internet.

On one hand you say he is not traceable, but on the other hand you he is still posting his marriage profiles. Try with some benami account, if he replies for new proposals now. If so, complaint with cyber police may be worth.

You may file for divorce after one year of your marriage. All your police complaints work only if he is available for punishment.

Under the circumstances you will have watchful to trace him and help yourself.
