can u explain the concept of Damduppat

Interest should not exceed the principal,but after the suit this principal do not apply.

The amount of principal together with the rate of interest cannot exceed double the principal, called damdupat. This rule was prevalent in ancient Hindu Courts. But it has lost its relevancy now.

Interest should not be exceed principle amount. Principle of damdupat is not applicable in co-op Banks if loan is exceeds 1,00,000/-.

interest and principal amount together shall not exceed the double the principal amount, that too in the past.
one shall not force or compel anyperson who is small former against his debt under any circumstances.
present there is no such law.
