(Querist) 18 February 2015 This query is : Resolved
Hi Sir,

I have question regarding Katha. I bought a plot which is part ( 20 width and 40 length of existing plot which is 30 width and 40 length. So in this whether existing katha should be transfer to me or katha should be bifurcated. Kindly let me know what should be done in this case. thank you.

Is the plot registered? now you can buy the remaining plot and get it be registered. if the plot already bought by you is not registered, now register the entire plot now mentioning the fact.

What is the measurement mentioned in the registered sale deed, what is your exact query?

The Khata would be entered as per local custom prevailing, apply for transfer as per your registered deed.

DEAR NARASIMHA,

IF YOU HAVE PURCHASED THE PLOT AND A SALE IS REGISTERED IN YOUR NAME THEN THE KATHA SHOULD BE TRANSFERRED IN YOUR NAME. BIFURCATION OF KATHA IS NOT APPLICABLE TO YOU.
