Can a Pagdi property can be given on rent

Respected Sir/madam
I have a Pagdi property in ghatkopar for past 15 yrs . That shop I have been giving it on rent for so long now the society has issued a letter saying Pagdi propert I.e tenancy propert cannot be sublet for rent . I have no idea regarding this ,can I not put this property on leave and license . Is there any law stating otherwise .

the society is absolutely correct . a tenant cannot sub let the property without landlord permission .

Tenant can not sublet the property without specific permission of the landlord.
