Hi,
iam an unmarried girl.My Mother has a self owned land(bought before her marriage, registered only in her name). Recently she has sold that land and gave the full money in cash to me ... to support me investing for my home(property registered in my name).my Mom is alive and a working lady.
Quest 1: Will by any chance my brother can claim this money or his share in future?
Quest 2: if yes, then what kind of supporting documents do i need to get rid out of the situation.
Quest 3: does by a simple stamp note from mom (stating cash given to me is solely with her wish) is sufficient?

GET Affidavit executed by your mother that her self acquired property was sold to help you purchasing your home, by her, willingly and voluntarily, and is a absolute GIFT, out of love & Affection, and there is bno right of anyone else , or of your brothers.
Get it Notarised,in Notary Register, with Both Photo & thumb impression.
Consult CA for Tax Liability etc, if any.
