A case of my friend has been filed in the Supr Court of India which has been allocated a 'diary number'. what does this mean and when can this case be heard as it was filed in november 2011.

It appears the file needs some correction. Get in touch with the Registrar and ask for listing. Listing for admission does not take more 4 weeks after filing in correct form.

It shall be better to be in close tough with the lawyer you engaged for this purpose. Diary no. represents that there is some lacuena in filing hwich requires to be corrected.
