sirs,

a person was convicted and sentenced to undergo 6 months SI , in two different cases,
by the same magistrate, on the same date, itself.
whether the said convict has to undergo 12 months imprisonments ( 6 + 6 ), as total of imprisonment in two different cases , or he has to undergo only 6 months imprisonment, as both the convictions will start running from the same date ?
please explain with case laws ?

thanking you sirs.

if there are two different judgments in two different criminal cases against one single person and the judgment is passed in the same date, the convict shall has to undergo only 6 months imprisonment, as both the convictions will start running from the same date.
