I was appointed on the post of Assit. Prof. in university in 2003by facing an interview before the duly constituted selection committee and on the basis of its recommendation, the appointment order given to me. the advertisement for the post was on 'contract'but the appointment order was of 'regular nature'. the univ. gives paysclae, HRA, DA and other benefit to me except Yearly increments.I filed a Writ in High court and intimate the univ. with notice, but as a counterblast they terminate me without any justifies order.i filed another writ in high court. in return of the univ. said the appointment was on CONTRACT. the case lasts for 4 year and then decided. court orderd me to give proper representation to the univ. and the univ. will give reasoned order with in 2 months. the univ. failed to respond by 4 months. hence contempt of court filed by me. then after a month univ. replied that i was not eligible at the time of appointment since i was not having master's degree.
My argument is- I have possesses M.Ed. (Master's degree)and never hide the facts at any time to the selection committee. as per UGC rules, Master degree in relevent sub. required. M.Ed. is the master's degree in teacher training programme. and
after such a long time no one can challebge and alter the norms and the recommendations of selection committee. if i was not qualified, how selection committee recommended my name and in other hand, when i was selected by the committee, i was qualified.
Pl. give your opinion.....

Of course MEd is a Master's degree. If you were not eligible, on what basis the recommendation was made by the selection committee, how the University made your appoiontment, and why you were made to complete the probation and allowed to continue in service therafter, are the pertinent questions to be asked from the University. You can challenge the university on these issues.
