Tenancy agreement is not compulsorily registrable document.
So you need not insist on registration. A simple tenancy agreement would do. However ask for the return of the cost of registration charges.

For the tenancy, the agreement need not be registered if it is within 12 months period. But, dont worry if you are in possession.
