CAN A KERALA NATIVE SETTLED IN GUJARAT BUY AGRICULTURAL LAND

Respected Sir,

I am Gopinath Nambiar. My native is kerala. We have farming land in Kerala but in my fathers name ( But now he is no more). Can I claim to be a farmer and purchase agricultural land here in Gujarat?

Could you please clarify as to what is the connection between you inheriting an agricultural land in Kerala and purchasing a Agricultural land in Gujarat. There is no law on land which prohibits any citizen of this country to purchase or own any type of immovable property anywhere in India.

So far the purchase of agr.land is concerned,outsiders of Gujarat are not permitted to purchase agr.land,though he may be an agriculturist.Even non-aiculturist is not allowed to purchase agr.land.

If you are a farmer, you can purchase agricultural land at any state except Jammu and Kashmir. It is your constitutional right.

I dont think there is a prohibition to purchase a agricultural land in Gujarat by Non-Gujarat.
If anything is there, it is un-constitutional
But you may have to trace and check the title
