pay protection

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 15 September 2010 This query is : Resolved
HI SIR,

I have been serving in a municipal corporation as a permanent employee since 10 yrs in full pay grade.

Before 3 months, this muni. corporation published an ad. For an upper level post. In that salary was fixed-pay for 3 yr. and than full pay offered.

I passed written exam, interview and selected for that post.

Though I am 10 yr old employee of this muni. corporation, they are giving me fix pay.
By this fix pay, I am loosing Rs.6000/- pm. as compared to pay of my previous post.

Though I am 10 yr old employee of this muni. corporation, they are counting my new post as a new job, and so i am loosing my old pension scheme.[/u]

so, my question is :
(1)Can i get full pay for my new higher post, or can i get pay protection (pay of my old post) during probation?
(2)Can my old job period be counted continue for pension scheme?

No.It is not possible. The salary structure applicable for the new post alone will be given to you. You must have thought about it earlier. You can enjoy merely the perquisites meant for this so called upper level job. That is all.

Subramaniam Sir's apt opinion on this post will be a torch bearer to many job aspirants who seek out of turn higher posts. Mr. Anonymous must spread this message to his office circle. Many bank employees too suffered this fate on account of fitment.

respected sir,
i should draw your attention that- at old post i was IN FULL PAY GRADE and in new post - their is higher pay grade than old but first 3 yrs i have to remain in FIXED PAY which is 6000/- less than my old FULL PAY.
i Have come to know that in other muni. "pay protection" and "continue of service" already exist there.
