If husband wife are married for 1year and two months, but are living apart for past 5 months then when and how would they be eligible for divorce as per Hindu marriage Act?

Living apart from past 5 months is not a ground for divorce.

The husband will have to wait for 1 year time of separation and thereafter he could file a suit for divorce on the ground of cruelty or on any other grounds if available to him.

As the marriage was solemnized one year back, either of the party is entitled to move divorce petition on the ground of cruelty or by both the parties on mutual consent.
