The principle of lis pendens has found its place in Indian Law in section 52 of the Teansfer pf Property Act which is expressed by the maxim- pendente lite nihil innovatur where by the suit property can not be transferred or otherwise dealt with without the leave of the court and if it is done then the transferee is bound by the decree.
