Dear Sir, please clear my doubt regarding the validity of stump paper given against the loan to the party.. I had forgotten to recollect the same and handed over the money with interest at the restaurant... After seven years he is again asking the money with interest... I had repayed the full amount but he was alone that time and I had no witnesses to prove my point.. can anyone suggest me way out in this matter.. He is warning for going to court..

Whether you simply signed on the BLANK stamp paper or something about the amount of loan and interest is written on the paper?

If you had not given any Cheque you are safer to some extent.Validity of any Pro Note executed also is for 3 years only.Better discuss in detail with local Advocate and serve the Notice and you could also file a Police Complaint. Discuss in detail with local Advocate

if there is nothing on written, don't worry for the same.
regarding validity of stamp paper, there is nothing in law, the stamp paper always valid if the said stamp paper is lying in the hand of the purchaser, so far.
u may consult the Learned Lawyer in your locality, as to resolve your query upto your satisfaction.

Dear Mr. Ashok Kumar Singh,
How do you say that "if nothing is written, dont' worry"? What is your understanding?

Not understanding, but misunderstanding of Mr. Ashok Kumar Singh. Probably, he has not read the query properly. So, he has advised him don't worry, even if repaid the loan, but get prepared to pay more, as the stamp paper is still valid.

Did you retain copy of the said loan agreement of stamp paper?
Or you signed on blank papers?
Is there any particular reason for not consulting and confiding in your own LOCAL counsel about this transaction?
Has your own counsel after examining the docs and inputs, the said call record advice to pay again/more?
