Widow" right to the property of her mother in law

my sister is a widow. he husband died on 2004 leaving a child. my sister resides with her mother and father in law s house. now her mother in law GIFT HER PROPERTY ( the residential house) to an ashram as a gift . now my questions is:-
1. is there any right of my sister to the property?
2. can my sister have claim anything form her mother in law?
3. how my sister survive because she has nothing no income / nothing .

Unfortunately in law there is no provision to claim maintenance from MIL, however, she can claim it from her FIL subject to certain conditions under HAMA, 1956.

try to involve the family elders . expalint o mother in law that her own grand son future is at stake .
