hello
i am 26 years male. I am got engaged on feb 14th. After engagement, me and my fiancee went on a jolly trip to a hill station. after 3 hours of stay, there came a squad and enquired us. as we were not married , they filed FIR against me under ITPA-3,4,5. i was remanded to jail and now i got bail. We pleaded that we are engaged, but they dint bother to hear anything what we said. the magistrate gave her own bail after our parents requested to sent her with them. but the news were published in newspapers such that i was a pimp and this destroyed all my family reputation.
my doubts are
1. what is the offence for this section.
2. how long the case will run in the court
3. if we get married in between, what will happen.
4. how can i take action against the squad who acted very rude on us.
5. will this matter have any effect on our future?

1. Te offence relates to prostitution.
2. It may take 2-3 years to conclude.
3. There shall have no direct impact over the case due to your marriage but it shall definitely have a positive impact to falsify the story of the prosecution that you both were prostitutes.
4. You once get acquitted and then teach a lesson to such officials of police.
5. Legally there shall not be any effect if you get acquitted.
