Second marriage /adopation

Hi i have a second marriage my husband is a divorcee however things are just not working i need your advice
1 i have a 16 yrs daughter.however its been 3 yrs my huusband has still not adopated her.wat is the max age for adopation.2. what is her right over property and money matter. 3. their is to much interferance of my mother in law in our married life the reason for the 1st marrige to breake was my mother in law . my husband does not want to go against her even if she is wrong.4 if i take a seperation can i claim maintainence for me and my daughter.5. with so much of complication i am not sure if he should be a legal gardian for my daughter. please advice me .

1. Before she attains majority.
2.She would be treated as natural heirs of her adoptive parents, adoptive father to be precise in your case as she is already a natural heir of yours.
3.You have to handle this as this is not a legal dispute.
4.Yes if you are not well placed financially.
5. You continue to be her natural; guardian. Taking her adoption by your husband is not possible till your ex husband gives his consent.

YOUR DAUGHTER IS YOUR DAUGHTER
You cannot claim her maintenance from your second husband.
MIL is a problem with all DIL, though few do not comment on it. One has to bear it.
Why with equal right, husbands not going to live with wife's family? [Except in Keala, they have no MIL problem] this problem of MIL can be solved.
In foreign countries there are no joint family at all.
Coin have two sides. Both are important. Pleasure and Pain goes together, like a coin, and everybody want that coin.Talking only negative side of it. The positive side is retained, kept secret. Does not mean it does not exist.

He is not a legal guardian. You are a LG.
