(Querist) 05 April 2014 This query is : Resolved 
I Purchased a property in Mumbai from My joint account Hold by me and my Son in year 1992 For the registration of same, we had given to one of us relative he submitted the same. Due to our negligence It was not register by him till now. My relative says that agreement is lost by them (registrar) my son is divorced in year 1995 at that time his sons were also minor. In year 2013 my son Died. My query is how to get new agreement Steps to be followed and what will be rights of grandsons in the property. Thank you sir in advance.

registration was mandatory . builder must have called you for registration purposes .

if your relative has lost agreement and no copy is available in sub registrar office your only hope is the builder . contact him and obtain certified copy of agreement .

said agreement cannot be registered now after lapse of 22 years

builder can execute Deed of confirmation in favour of purchasers

Agree with the expert, proceed as advised. registration of agreement after 22 years is not possible.
