Holding a CD petition

Hello i have already filed for a contested petition against my husband for cruelty & DV (genuine case with evidence) but we are yet to get a court date & lawyer is yet to send the petition to my husband who is residing in Dubai. My question is can i put the petition on hold ? If yes how long can i do that? I still see a chance of reconciliation and do not want to ruin it by sending the papers. Kindly advice.

Yes,you can put the sending of notice of notice on hold.
Since he stays in abroad , sending of notice is possible only by post to be done by you.
So ask your lawyer not to send the same till you instruct.

You can ask your lawyer to hold sending notice to your husband.
