Hello sir/ ma' am
My father was hit by a car. He was in two wheeler and his both leg fractured, one is already operated and fitted with implants.
Their is chance of operation for other leg.
We were in a traumatic situation.
I filled case against the car driver. He seems to be from powerful family as his father mentioned about his political contacts.
My father's age is 57 years and he is retired. He was looking for a job after retirement. He was the only source of our income. I am unemployed as I am a student.
I registered a case against the driver, who was a young boy. Police Registered it under 279 and 338 ipc but it has been one week from the day I filled the FIR and no one from the police station came for my father statement.
Kindly suggest me what to do further.

was the driver licensed?

Police have registered the FIR; let it take its course.
In due course, your father should file the claim in the MACT for medical expenses as well as compensation. It is not necessary that this claim should be filed at the place of accident; it could be at any MACT of your convenience.

Sorry Sir I don't know about the car insurance. But the was new so I think they have the insurance.
Sir I am anonymous because I really confuse because the other party is powerful and they have political connection.
They even told me that they will resolve the case in the first sitting

I only want justice. Whatever happened with my father due to which me and family suffered a lot which a cannot explain in words.
Money cannot compensate the injury.
So please sir help me.

What do you want to clarify from this portal?, You say that money cannot compensate the injury then what do you want? Do you think any punishment to the driver will compensate your father's injury? The police have already registered FIR, rest of the formalities they will take care, you may procure a copy of FIR and with the help of a MACT advocate file a insurance claim cse seeking compensatory claim.
