My stolen mobile phone has been recovered by police. now because i got my phone I don't want any action to be taken over him as the accused is very much poor and has dependents. What should I do?

Accused was arrested yesterday and Today presented in court..

Then give your no objection if bail is granted to him.
You can also submit affidavit not pressing further charges against him.

As far as I know, he was asked to present any proof like voter ID card and anything else so that bail can be granted. But I think he could not.

So you are saying, I need to go to court to submit affidavit.
And I heard there is something called compounding. What is this?

If you file such affidavit, the Police may submit Final Report meaning thereby he would be free from all charges.

Thanks a lot. Tomorrow I will go to court to file an affidavit to drop charges. Lets see what happens.
