stamp vendor has written wrong name on the stamp paper purchaser has purchased the stamp subsequently on verification the stamp paper was issued in some person name will the purchaser liable for the fault of the stamp vendor

While taking delivery, you are supposed to verify whether the purchaser name has been correctly entered on the stamp paper or not.

Having purchased such a stamp paper, please also tell what have you done with it. Is it still blank or you have used it? At what stage the paper is. After knowing this, one will be in a better position to suggest further.
