Relinquishment deed can be executed by special or general power of attorney.

By general power of attorney if the same is mentioned therein. It has to be registered.

yes power of attorney has to be regd if it authroises attorney to relinquish property

By GPA if the same is mentioned in deed but it must be registered then it is valid

It can be by way of both ways but relevant thing is that the right to relinquishment should be specifically given in that power.
